During the official opening of Our Lady's Bower Secondary School in October 2008 Sr. Denise, Principal while making her speech thanked Cllr. Frankie Keena for all his help with the school building project and also paid tribute to him for all his work, time and assistance that he has given to young people in Athlone and district over the last number of years.
