Description: Ardnagrath National School is a Primary School in Walderstown, Athlone, Co Westmeath. The school was opened in 1960, with an extension added in 1995. In 2006 we completed the construction of another classroom, computer room, P.E. room and a Sprung gymnasium (We were the first primary school in the country to erect a gymnasium of this type). There are six teaching staff. We also have a special needs assistant, part-time secretary, caretaker, specialist music teacher, a G.A.A. coach and a tag rugby coach. The School Day begins at 9.20am. School closing time is 3pm. Lunch break is from 12.30pm. to 1.00pm. Junior Infants and Senior Infants finish at 2pm.
