On Wednesday 27th October 2010 the lucky people who will attend the long established successful teenage youth disco in the Bounty will enjoy a first hand experience of a fabulous new lighting system. This Halloween disco is expected to be the hottest, coolest event in town with the teens burning up their energy under the latest tracks from DJ Paul Harte.

Barry Reid of the Buccaneers said that the club are delighted to have undertaken this upgrade of the lighting system under phase one of their plans. We are very conscious of the importance to respond to the needs of the youths by making the venue more appealing and they will definitely not be disappointed, he added.

Cllr. Frankie Keena, Athlone Drug Awareness Group said that he was thrilled with the success of these discos over the years in the Bounty. The secret is that parent’s concerns are alleviated when they are informed about the supervision from the Gardai, Buccaneers and Drug Awareness members, he said.

This new lighting system will create a marvellous atmosphere in the venue and I do know that the teenagers will be enthralled by its effects, said Cllr. Keena.

I want to thank the Buccaneers for carrying out this phase one work and I look forward to phase 2 improvements in the New Year, he added.

Tickets for the alcohol free disco are available in Musicworld and as a full house is expected, those attending are advised to purchase their ticket as soon as possible.
